Now hiring: site safety steward (South Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a site safety steward in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points Requirements: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Full-time with occasional weekends.
