Sand plant operator • Fayette County, Georgia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Fayette County, Georgia. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day to day you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
