QC inspector — City of York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a QC inspector in City of York, England. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting • Verify dimensions against the tolerance limits on the technical drawing • Segregate and quarantine defective or out-of-tolerance items • Measure finished parts with vernier callipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Log batch numbers, lot codes and traceability data Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols • Understanding of AQL sampling and tolerance limits 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
