We are recruiting: core maker (Mississippi)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Tate County, Mississippi. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
