We are recruiting: mechanical press operator (Pennsylvania)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a busy press shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout You will run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
