Great opportunity: we are hiring a milling machinist in Alcona County, Michigan. The job is in a die and mould making unit. Day-to-day duties: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces Rotating shifts.
