Immediate opening: vertical milling machine operator (Alabama)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Wilcox County, Alabama. You will be based in a die and mould making unit. Day-to-day duties: • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces Rotating shifts.
