Tailor machinist — Onondaga County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Onondaga County, New York. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching 5+ years on the tools preferred.
