Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Thayer County, Nebraska. Day-to-day duties: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 3+ years on the tools preferred. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
