Lift installation engineer • City of Staunton, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in City of Staunton, Virginia. You will be based in a machine room on the rooftop. What we are looking for: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics Day-to-day duties: • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox Part-time with flexible hours.
