Fabricator-welder • Yakurr, Cross River State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Yakurr, Cross River State. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
