Aluminium TIG welder • Pickens County, Alabama

Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Pickens County, Alabama. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
