Vacancy available: abattoir worker (North Carolina)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Catawba County, North Carolina. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day-to-day duties: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case Requirements: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
