We are recruiting: steel erection rigger (West Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Wayne County, West Virginia. You will be based at a shipyard. The role involves: • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Full-time with occasional weekends.
