Great opportunity: site safety steward (Iowa)

Now hiring: we are hiring a site safety steward in Cherokee County, Iowa. You will be based on a high-rise building project. Ideal candidate: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training On the job you will handle: • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
