Foundry labourer wanted in King George County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in King George County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
