Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Brooke County, West Virginia. The job is on an industrial construction site. The role involves: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Full-time with occasional weekends.
