Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in LaGrange County, Indiana. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight The role involves run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal.
