Now hiring: we are hiring a metal roofing fitter in Monroe County, Illinois. You will work at a roofing and cladding contractor. Your main tasks: • Nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses • Bed and point ridge tiles with mortar • Carry out leak inspections and patch repairs • Install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights • Solder and seam standing-seam metal roof sheets • Erect and dismantle roof edge protection and scaffolding Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights and steady balance • Knowledge of both pitched and flat roofing systems • Strong enough to lift tile packs and felt rolls all day $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
