Join our team: we are hiring a TIG welder in Gallatin County, Illinois. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day to day you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
