Join our team: press setter operator (Michigan)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a press setter operator in Baraga County, Michigan. The job is at a busy press shop. Your main tasks: • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges What we are looking for: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
