Foundry operative • McMinn County, Tennessee

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in McMinn County, Tennessee. You will be based on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
