Fettler wanted in Latah County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Latah County, Idaho. The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
