On a typical shift you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Full-time with occasional weekends.
