The role involves clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 6+ years on the tools preferred.
