Now hiring: we are hiring a garment presser in Red Lake County, Minnesota. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Day-to-day duties: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience.
