Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Clay County, Florida. The job is on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day to day you will weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
