Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases The role involves keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents.
