Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Tsanyawa, Kano State. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight On a typical shift you will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion.
