Tig welder wanted in Smith County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Smith County, Tennessee. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
