Safety officer • Van Zandt County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Van Zandt County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height Requirements: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot 4+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $29 per hour plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
