We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Mathews County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
