Now hiring: earthmoving equipment operator (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Skagway Municipality, Alaska. You will be based on a dam or embankment job. What we are looking for: • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine The role involves rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms.
