Aluminium tig welder — Daviess County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Daviess County, Kentucky. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
