We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Mississippi County, Missouri. The job is in a chemical processing unit. What we are looking for: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training You will investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action.
