Join our team: we are hiring a commercial refrigeration engineer in Somerset County, Maryland. You will work in a commercial cold storage facility. Day-to-day duties: • Fault-find control boards and defrost timers • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil Ideal candidate: • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Valid driving licence for field call-outs Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
