Sand plant operator • Skamania County, Washington

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Skamania County, Washington. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
