Requirements: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Own basic hand tools • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height On a typical shift you will measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet.
