Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG welder in Black Hawk County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Day to day you will strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration.
