Stainless steel welder • Gwarzo, Kano State

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Gwarzo, Kano State. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
