Immediate opening: steel fixer (Kansas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Shawnee County, Kansas. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors 4+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
