Immediate opening: we are hiring a counter butcher in Vermillion County, Indiana. The job is at a wholesale meat market. You will mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
