Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Central Bedfordshire, England. You will work at a wholesale meat market. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Day-to-day duties: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
