We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Wilson County, Texas. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Meals and transport allowance provided.
