We are recruiting: we are hiring a presser in Hamilton County, Kansas. The job is in a tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings 5+ years on the tools preferred.
