Precision welder • Taylor County, West Virginia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Taylor County, West Virginia. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through 4+ years on the tools preferred.
