Immediate opening: we are hiring a hand presser in Grundy County, Missouri. The job is at a garment factory. Day to day you will remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
