Stainless steel welder — Dubuque County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Dubuque County, Iowa. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Your main tasks: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 2+ years on the tools preferred. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
