Tig welder wanted in Audrain County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Audrain County, Missouri. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE On the job you will handle: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
