The role involves: • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points Ideal candidate: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
